Hours and Reservations
Ristorante Max is currently closed for the winter, re-opening on May 29, 2025. Once they reopen, they’re typically open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch, closed for several hours, then open again dinner service, as is common with most restaurants in Italy.
We were able to walk in for lunch during October, but in general it’s a good idea to have reservations in Positano, especially during the high season of June through August. You can make reservations on several reservation websites such as Open Table, or ask your hotel if they can make reservations by phone: +39 089 875056.
What to Order at Ristorante Max Positano
The restaurant is known for its pasta, wine and seafood. I can wholeheartedly recommend their gnocchi and lasagna, both were some of the best we had in Italy. Another popular dish is their lobster pasta, and don’t forget to leave room for crème brûlée.
Please visit Ristorante Max’s website for more information, including details on their wine cellar and cooking class.
